Apr 30 Serena Foster: "High School" (Exclusive Interview)

How did you come up with your single?

I was working on new music in the studio with my friend Carl Olson, and we both wanted to write about the idea of "high school" and the topic of bullying. It was all very organic and natural, I think we wrote the song in an hour or two tops.

How are you managing to stay inspired with all the changes happening in the world right now?

Oh wow hmmmm, that is a hard question. I am always inspired - but not always motivated. For me, motivation occurs through my inspiration. So when I know I have a really cool song idea, or music video concept, it is easy to create and bring that inspiration to life. But if it is just an okay song or idea, I move on till I have something super cool and original. When I am really excited, that is how I know I am truly inspired.

Do you enjoy performing online for your fans and supporters?

Of course, I love going live and interacting with fans, and doing a virtual show now and then is so much fun! But I am not gonna lie...nothing beats a real live show. I really miss performing for people in person and can not wait to get back to it!

What can we expect from you in 2021?

A lot more singles, music videos, and a possible mini album. Stand by, Serena Foster 2021 is loading....
