How'd you come up with your stage name?
My Korean name actually means green stone jade. So basically that’s how I came up my english name. The reason why I add Y is that I’d just like to.
Where are you from?
I’m from Namyangju city, South Korea. Such a lovely city.
How did you get your start in music?
I really enjoyed dancing on stages when I was in kindergarten. So I can say that I first started music by dancing.
Is music a big part of your family?
Yes. My mom is a flute player. My dad loves to sing and play guitar. I had quite a lot of opportunities to access music since I was young
What artists and songs did you grow up listening to?
Erykah Badu, Destiny’s child, Britney spears, Christina Aguilera, Usher, Chris Brown, India.Arie, Amy winehouse and many Kpop artists.
What is the biggest message you want to bring to your audience?
I want to create music that resonates with many people, expressing thoughts, wishes, and feelings that are shared by more than just one.
What has been the most challenging part of your music journey?
With many areas saturated these days, it seems challenging to find my place in this market and make myself stand out. Nonetheless, I believe I'm headed in the right direction.
Any good vocal health tips you can share?
Eat healthy. Sleep. Stay hydrated. In my case, propolis spray is helpful a lot.
What are your goals for the rest of 2024?
First, I would like to establish myself as a Kpop songwriter. Additionally, I need to make more songs and promote them as much as possible.
