Aura Dawn: "Show Me Some Love" (Feature/Interview)

Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Lithuania.

Has music always been a part of your life?
Totally! When I was 3 or 4 years old, my parents noticed that I loved singing and performing. That's why I started to go to music classes for kids, and honestly, I've just never stopped since then.

How did you come up with your single?
Usually, the best ideas for my songs come when I'm not expecting them to (usually around midnight). The same happened with Show Me Some Love. I was just playing around with notes on my piano, and that's how the bassline of the song was born. A song playfully shows the deepest desires and cravings of the individual's heart. Even though we're not always brave enough to say it, deep inside we all just want to be loved and supported. So I just let my heart talk, and this confession ended as the song.

How do you define success?
I see success as having the ability to be your true self every day. That would include the job that you do, the home that you live in, and the people that you have around. Songwriting, singing, and performing are the callings of my heart, so I consider myself successful because I can share my creative ideas with everyone. If at least one heart is touched by my songs, I'm the happiest person.

Do you have any vocal health and coaching tips to share with us?
I have noticed how closely my voice's health is connected to my rest and sleeping schedule. Whenever I don't have proper rest, I start to see the first signs of voice tiredness. So my tip for a healthy voice is to pay some extra attention to your quality of sleeping, and also don't underestimate the miracle of quaintness. And also, avoid ice-cream, even though it's hot outside, at least, that's what I do :).

Who are your influences?
My influencers are the people who are always seeking more. Who believe that there's always something better waiting for us. In general, when you listen closely to what people are saying, you can find that all of them have something to say that would change your life. In general, I try to surround myself with people with a kind heart and spirit that makes everything seem possible, so my closest friends and family are my biggest influencers. From the musical side, I grew up with Adele, Queen, and The Beatles. Later on, I got hyped by the honesty of Foo Fighters' music, so I would say, those musicians influenced my musical journey the most.

What's the most important message you want to put forward in your music?
I love this song, "Imagine" by John Lennon. I strongly believe that our world would be a better place to live if we used those words as guidelines in everyday life. With my music, I would like to contribute to this idea of making the world a better place to live. I see the world as a very beautiful place, and music or art in general is one of the most important things that takes us beyond the routine and makes our hearts beat faster. My position is that love is always the answer, so I want to share this message in many different ways.
