Canadian Singer/Songwriter Janey Brown joins Tuneclique Music Publishing Inc.
Almost a decade ago, on a breezy morning in the Toronto beaches, New York native Roy Hamilton III crossed paths with Thousand Islands native Janey Brown for the first time. The two strangers talked for hours about art, spirituality, purpose, and trust, buzzing from their perfectly brewed Bud’s coffees. Little did they know that this was the first of many morning coffees ahead and that their budding friendship would become the crucial bedrock of their bond in an industry known for its volatility and heartbreak: the music industry. Or, as Rick Rubin called it on a recent Huberman podcast, “the entertainment industrial complex.”
Now, after years of breaking bread, sharing tears, helping aspiring artists blossom, and creating damn good music together, it seems only natural that their mutual respect and admiration have led them to an exciting new alliance. Tuneclique Music Publishing is honored to announce its very first polymath Songwriter/Recording Artist, Wellness Entertainer, and Academic; none other than Janey Brown herself.
Brown, a seasoned public speaker, trauma-informed coach, and versatile singer/songwriter, is thrilled about her new music commitment to Tuneclique Music Publishing: “What immediately drew me into Roy when beginning to work with him, was his unique approach to artist development. Being in the industry for most of our lives, both of us have exchanged many horror stories of how we were repeatedly betrayed. A common theme is the resentful industry elders passing down their trauma to the younger generation, but Roy vehemently revolted against this pattern. His commitment to what he calls ‘artist nourishment’, an approach that embraces any artist, at any age, on any stage is profoundly compassionate, inspiring, and healing. There's no one I trust more in this business and no one I’d rather be under contract with.”

Brown has been performing live for three decades and has written and published songs with Grammy award winning and multi-platinum producers, including Hamilton. She also has years of experience teaching movement, mindfulness, and mental resilience to artists as well as some of the most renowned athletes in the NHL. In 2017, Brown founded Fearce Academy, a wellness company she built to help performers manage imposter syndrome and achieve mental health, so they can “radiate confidence in front of any audience.” Since launching the company, Brown has impacted people of all ages across North America with her mental health education seminars, motivational keynotes, and trauma-informed coaching. Another exciting alignment between Hamilton and Brown will be the prospect of offering Fearce Academy coaching to the artists of his new Canadian record label The Singer’s Company.
